Again.....I have NO idea what type of Grasshopper this is???????
6-7 cm long, eating the leaves of my Wisteria (Glycine).
Enormous very pale green wings almost yellowy.
I have lived in this house for 10yrs and NEVER seen one like it!
I have since heard from a brilliant photographer of Insects:
This is a very young Locust.
His wings have just formed.

I had seen this one in our zoomuseum, hovewer, it was not the biggest grasshopper, the equival one was over 9-10 cm. Perhaps your grasshopper wasn't old enough in that species. I met big grasshoppers in Crimea, they had a sabre in the back, long long vibrisses and other type of chitin armor.
