Gandhi, in life, often found it amusing, albeit slightly annoying whenever they misspelled his name in western newspapers. Guess what the typo was? Ghandi.
Story goes that in one such press conference, an American journalist kept referring to him as "Mr. Gindi". To which the kindly Mahatma replied, "Call me, Babu. It's easier to pronounce, and your nasal cavities will be spared the irritation."
OK But I hate getting things wrong and especially a man I revere. In that Museum, I saw a pic. of him when he was about 9yrs old, it gave me 'goose-bumps' his eyes said it all.
