I like the minute details in this: the leather texture to the chair, the grain pattern visible in the wood on the side of the bottom drawer, the clock on the wall - both the notches in the metalwork and the change in lighting from bottom to top. Those things really appeal to me.

With the word "Notes" on that lowest drawer, my first thought is that this was intended to be an interactive graphic for a profile or journal skin. If that's the case (with the other drawers having been intended for other functions, e.g. "Gallery" and "Prints"), it's a very interesting concept and something I could definitely see some of the graphic designers on site playing around with.

One thing that stands out to me that might deserve a bit of tweaking is the silhouette of the man. With as close as he is to the desk, I would expect a small amount of light to touch his body on that side. A small shifting of the light source more towards the cat could solve that issue without you having to play with the shading on him... though giving him facial features and details to his suit could be fun. I don't know if moving him closer to the front of frame would necessarily solve the issue, because it's an optical trick that our minds play on us - we're expecting a small amount of detail to show simply for the existence of light near him. Possibly something to play around with if you were to revisit this piece, or to expand this concept in a future piece.

Another minute detail that might be worth considering is adding an eye to the cat. It is, again, an issue with proximity to the lighting, but beyond that, it gives a small bit of color to both sides of the image. That still allows the color to stay minimalist and for the viewer's attention to be more focused on the flowers while also balancing the details out.

I definitely like the stained-glass effect to the flowers and planter/vase. It gives a deeper meaning to this piece, at least to me - color is just an easily shattered illusion. Or, perhaps, that color is a fragile thing too easily dismissed in the drab corporate world. So many ways to see that - it evokes so many different thoughts and reactions. Thanks so much for sharing!
