Scorpion

This dear little chap was in my old butter dish.
We are always finding them around the house.
For those of you who don't know, if the claws are large like on this one, the sting is less harmful and vice versa.
This is the first time I have taken a close-up photo of one and never realised that they have a touch of red in them.
When you see them ordinarily they just look completely black.
